Save the Date: Milwaukee’s 3rd Annual Earth Day Celebration
Join the Rock the Green and the City of Milwaukee’s Office of Environmental Sustainability for the third annual Earth Day Celebration
When: Tuesday, April 22 from 11:00am to 1:00pm
Where: The City Center at 735 N Water Street, Milwaukee, WI
Mayor Barrett and others will be on hand to deliver announcements on environmental plans and eco-educational booths will be on-site featuring ReFresh Milwaukee, Me2, Rock the Green, Waste Management, Department of Public Works and more. The event will provide opportunities to learn about the City’s sustainability plans, Rock the Green, and other Milwaukee organizations that support sustainable practices.
There will be a live concert by Vic & Gab on a pedal powered stage and local food trucks featuring Simmer Milwaukee, The Fast Foodie, Hard Wood Café, Urban Caveman, and more. The event will include near zero waste efforts including waste reclamation stations provided by Waste Management for recyclables, compostables, and waste as well as compostable serving ware. The Earth Day celebration is a great way to learn about eco-friendly opportunities and support the community in its environmental efforts.
